The story of former Hollywood star Grace Kelly's crisis of marriage and identity, during a political dispute between Monaco's Prince Rainier III and France's Charles De Gaulle, and a looming French invasion of Monaco in the early 1960s.

Fanny is a Jewish girl in a French orphanage in 1943. When she and her friends are no longer safe from the Nazis, they try to flee to Switzerland. After their guide disappears, Fanny has to take the lead and help the other kids make it over the mountains.

Daniel, a young mand descended from Assyrian immigration, is unwillingly discovering the stakes of immigration and particularly the story of his own family. The reconciliation with his and his community's memory allows Daniel to opennew perspectives for his adult life.
