After a car accident, Jure is trapped in a house with his guilty conscience and neurotic mother. Mother's friend Majda tries her best to help them in her own way.

Milan Veber, a 40-year-old unemployed art teacher, has long been jobless and close to penniless. He lives in a cheap small studio that he rents in what used to be a lively working-class neighbourhood of an industrial city, feeling too young to grow old and too old to start over – until one morning after a night of drinking. Just when he is about to open a can of beef stew, he looks through the window and sees a bull in the street. A bull that has just escaped from the slaughterhouse.

An animated folkloristic Western, using clichés, local stereotypes and national myths to sketch a kind of satirical profile of “wild” Slovenia, its colourful costumes and strange customs. Boris Dolenc has adapted a cartoon by Vladan Nikolić, who in turn drew on the motifs and visual language of the painted beehive boards typical of Slovenia.

After spending 13 years in prison, forty-year-old Đuka Begović returns to his ancestral home in Slavonia. He makes a promise to his mother that he will begin a new and honest life. He finds new meaning in taking care of his daughter Smilja. He tries to chase away destructive thoughts that threaten to overwhelm him by throwing himself into hard work. However, everything around him reminds him of his past and his family's tragic destiny. His family was wealthy at the beginning of the twentieth century, but was destroyed by the capitalist powers that took over the villages and broke the traditional family cooperatives.

Piran - Pirano tells a story about three individuals and how their destinies are unusually intertwined. An Italian Antonio, a Bosnian Veljko and a Slovenia girl Anica face the terror of war as children and each of them become war's victim in their own way. Half a century later their paths cross again and last days of war, fear, despair, love and inexplicable emotions live up again - this time because Antonio returns to Piran to see his place of birth once again before he dies.

Aging Bosnian rocker Toni Riff hasn’t written a single song in twenty years; suffering from depression, he relies on financial support from his wife Sonia. The latter decides to make a last-ditch attempt to salvage Toni’s talent – and their marriage.

The city of Maribor before the Second World War, and Maribor after its liberation mark the period in which the film Cafe Astoria is set. The story relates with a gentle melancholy and a slight irony the lives of a middle-class family: the cafe owner, his wife and their son. Through their individual destinies we become acquainted with the social and historical background of a by-gone era; the social and national differences of pre-war Maribor, divisions among the wealthy and poor, and nationally minded Slovenes and fanatic Germanophils. The first year after the war introduced the absurd characteristic cruel measures of the so-called revolutionary social transformations in which calamity and coincidence intervene, resulting in events of comic nature, of course, as seen from a safe distance of fifty years.
