The Black Valley

Based on the work of Yurii Mushketyk "Yasa". The action of the picture takes place in the 17th century, when Ukraine, led by the legendary Ivan Sirko, was defending itself from Tatar raids. A story of Ivan Sirko, the legendary Ukrainian originally from the Merefa county near Kharkiv, who was elected the leader of Cossacks eight times, bravely fought and won 53 major battles.

The Black Council gives a vivid picture of the different levels of society in seventeenth-century Ukraine. The main theme is the need for people to be motivated by high ideals as they engage in the struggle of truth with injustice.

Execution Is Not Possible

Boris Zhadanovsky, a hereditary nobleman and officer who was predicted to have a brilliant military career, sides with the rebellious people. In 1905, Zhadanovsky is sentenced to death for his revolutionary activities. However, a powerful strike movement organized in response to the court's decision forces the tsarist government to commute the sentence to life imprisonment. After the revolution, Zhadanovsky joins the Red Army and dies fighting the White Army.

World War II scattered the Carpathian peasant family of Yaroslava Petrin. She is a dedicated communist, and her husband, son and daughter support OUN-UPA.

Sea elements are fraught with many secrets. No crew is safe from emergencies that may occur at sea when they enter the open sea. The film tells a story that happened with the crew of an old tugboat "Dolphin". The ship fell into a terrible storm and, unable to overcome weather conditions, stood on stones. The crew led by the captain promptly leaves the ship, only the engineer Samokhin remains on the ship.
