Young Al Capone catches the eye of Johnny Torrio, a criminal visiting New York from Chicago. Torrio invites Capone to move to Illinois to help run his Prohibition-era alcohol sales operation. Capone rises through the ranks of Torrio's gang and eventually takes over. On top, he works to consolidate his power by eliminating his enemies, fixing elections to his advantage and getting rich. In his spare time, Capone courts the principled Iris Crawford.

Jackie and Lorna share a house in Florida. Jackie is a child psychologist and Lorna a successful writer. Lorna prepares a mysterious appointment. Jackie is very curious.

Six "Ladies" of the night sit around someone's living room discussing their last clients. In various R rated sequences we see them shower, get body painted, have a group sex, cross dress, use a whip, strip and dance poorly, and get beaten, choked and apparently killed. This is disturbingly filmed, but the character does in fact live to tell the story.

Pam runs a successful interior design business, and shares her luxurious pad with her business partner Wendy. The sexually adventurous Wendy is carrying on an affair with Rob, their building contractor.
