A jet-setting model leads a freewheeling life in Mexico City until she falls in love with an artist.

Two stories unfold over the same long, hot day in Acapulco. The first involves Fernanda, who is forced to deal with the emergence of her ex-lover. Her boyfriend must compete with the sexual tension they share. The second concerns Jamie, a worker attempting suicide, until a girl disrupts his plan.

Luisa and Tomas try to save their relationship by avoiding their differences and clinging to the love they have for each other. Everything starts disintegrating when they realize that love is not enough.
