The film tells about the tragic date in the history of the Crimean Tatar people — May 18, 1944 — Stalin’s deportation of the Crimean Tatars. The plot of the film — a pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Amet-khan Sultan. In May, 1944, a year after the liberation of Sevastopol, Amet-khan goes on vacation to his native town Alupka. On May 18 his eyes witness the beginning of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars.

Young Kyiv resident Semen Dakhno lived quietly and modestly with his parents in an old house on Andriivskyi Uzviz. But one day, while working as an extra on a film set, he accidentally damaged the wing of a jeep belonging to a prominent businessman and criminal authority, Yaroslav Karpik. To avoid serious trouble, Semen is now forced to work for Karpik, becoming the director of a front company through which the mafia plans to steal millions of dollars and then liquidate both the company itself and all its employees. But Semen and Lika, a girl who works as an accountant at the company, disagree with this state of affairs. They decide to ruin the criminals' plans, and now they face three main tasks: to expose Karpik and his gang while staying alive, and... to confess their love to each other in time.

Somewhere along this emotional roller-coaster SHE lets go of the past pain, her dead husband and finds peace. HE, her chimney guest, will still be there when SHE starts over with a clean slate...

A German codist is ambushed and taken prisoner by a Russian partisan. The Russian single-handed has to take the German to the headquarters. They have to travel on foot in the frozen wilderness. They are pursued by two German soldiers who intend to free their compatriot. Gradually the survival tasks and curiosity bring the enemies closer together.

Nazi-occupied Crimea, 1944. A boy named Itzhak turns to Saide Arifova, a local Tatar Muslim woman, for help, explaining that he and a group of other Jewish orphans are hiding from the Nazis. Arifova faces a moral dilemma: should she try to help them or save herself by refusing? Despite the impending danger, she decides to protect the children by hiding them in plain sight, and disguising them as Tatars and adopting them into the local community.

In a nightclub, a handsome and beautiful dancer Maxim meets a young girl Masha from Konotop. They waltz to the delight of everyone present. Soon, by chance, Masha comes to get a job in the capital real estate agency, which is run by Maxim. He not only takes the girl to work, but also falls in love with her and even, having parted with all his numerous mistresses, decides to get married. But Masha suddenly disappears.
