In a French thermal town, a man is found poisoned. His ex-girlfriend is arrested for the murder but her estranged cop daughter tries to prove her innocence which leads her much further than she could have ever imagined.

It's summer in Gironde. Mélissa, 15, has just moved into a residential housing estate. She meets Océane and Jessie with whom she befriends. The 3 girls invite a group of 5 boys to Mélissa's: Fred, the leader, Arthur, Omar, Bruce, with whom Mélissa falls in love and Tom, Bruce's little brother.

In a supermarket parking lot, two shoppers push a shopping cart to their car. A helpful man approaches them. Friendly at first, his behavior soon becomes strange, invasive and aggressive.

This coming-of-age French-Belgian drama features Nicolas and Thierry, uneducated long-time friends, postponing an inevitable trip into military service by camping on the beach. Living next to them are Annie and Francoise, two women who help Nicolas, until events take a turn for the worse when Thierry gets Nicolas involved in a theft.

In this, his first film, director Bruno Bontzolakis has attempted to extend the playing time of a short-feature story without complete success. The focus is on 17-year-old Jessica who is struggling with reconciling the love she has for her father with the hatred she has for his right-wing politics. Instead of a shorter story dealing with this conflict alone, Bontzolakis has drawn attention away to peripheral subjects like the depressed mother of one of Jessica's friends, or the inveterate drinker at the local bar -- interesting, but distracting at the same time.
