An elderly man returns to Poland to find his long-lost son, missing since World War II. In his quest the man is forced to contemplate the elusive and coded nature of truth itself.

Three-part film centered around a film being made by a group of young directors. In the first a working-class girl finishes school and has her first love affair, which ends badly. In the second a provincial boy with dreams of life in the theater has an affair with his boss' wife. They meet during the film's screen tests.

Set in the 19th century Warsaw. The indolence of aristocrats who, secure with their pensions, are too lazy to undertake new business risks, frustrates Wokulski. His ability to make money is respected but his lack of family and social rank is condescended to. Because of his "help" (in secret) to "the doll's" impecunious but influential father, the girl becomes aware of his affection.

Based on a true outbreak of smallpox in Wroclaw. A young doctor picks up a girl and they go to bed, but the night is ruined by the doctor being called to the epidemic. The doctor has to leave, and when it is all over, runs into her with another man.

Following the defeat of the Warsaw Uprising, brothers Piotr and Wojtek escape from a labour camp in Germany and set out on a perilous journey back to Warsaw, hoping to find their parents. Alone in unfamiliar territory, they must rely on their own resourcefulness and learn to trust no one as they struggle to make their way home.

When the hot-dog vendor Kaj from the small town of Skælskør in Denmark turns 40, his friends take him on a trip to Poland, to a long party with cheap liquor and emigration eager polish ladies. It will go merrily, but it gets serious for Kaj as he meets a girl who mistakes him for a wealthy Toyota dealer she has exchanged letters with.

Teresa is an attractive 30-year-old doctor. She divides her stable life between work, caring for her younger sister Ania, a high school student, and her romance with Jan, a well-off lawyer who wants to marry her. However, Teresa postpones her decision to marry until Ania becomes independent. One day, she unexpectedly meets Tomek, a young photographer, who soon confesses his love to her, making her question her loyalty to Jan.

The Italian soldier Giuseppe Santucci, on his way home from the Russian front has his machine gun stolen in Warsaw. Afraid of consequences, he stays in Warsaw and occupies a flat of the Polish girl Maria, whom he suspects of stealing weapon. Maria indeed is an active member of the Polish resistance, contrary to her brother, Staszek, a painter, who only wants a calm living. In a course of events Giuseppe falls in love and, along with Staszek, becomes a hero of the Polish resistance.

A young couple's dog becomes a subject of crutiny by the other residents of their apartment complex, setting off a bureacratic nightmare in this satire of Polish society.

After graduating from maritime school, Marek goes on his first voyage.

In the last days of WW2, Polish military looks for the murderer of prosecutor responsible for storing Gestapo files.

Berlin, 1990. At the invitation of his actor friends, who have already lived abroad for many years, Max, a Polish theater director, comes to Berlin. They begin to work together. They try to realize their dream: to stage a play, the staging of which was prevented by the imposition of martial law ten years earlier. The way they raise funds (selling pieces of the "historic" wall) and struggle against the heartless machinery of bureaucracy forms the axis of the film. In their efforts, the four protagonists are assisted by Regina, a translator familiar with local customs and practices. The film deals with the problems of artists in the new, commercializing reality.

A teenager starts to rebel against his parents in increasingly radical ways after being forbidden from going out with his girlfriend.

The family's life changes radically after the arrival of the grandmother. A supporter of physical exercise, getting up early and going to church, she terrorizes her surroundings. After an unsuccessful attempt to get rid of a troublesome guest, the family decides to find the grandmother a fiancé.

The story begins in March of 1968, the days of students protests. A hot- headed student protests the Dean's decision to expell a fellow student on fake accusation charges, upon which he drops out of university rather than make a compromise. He loses everything in the process: his girlfriend, housing privileges - he becomes a coal deliverer. On the job he witnesses an accident that causes death of a fellow worker. He decides to write a story, which is good and a publishing house wants to print it, but only after some corrections are made. He refuses again and the story is not printed. Finally, a story is commercialized and made into a succesful film and brings fame to the original author.

The last of the four theatrically released episode compilations of the TV series, featuring episodes 7 and 8.

40-year-old engineer Marek Kołodziejski comes to his hometown after fifteen years. He wants to take revenge on his friends who kicked him out of the band for appropriating the authorship of the project.

Mrs. Kolęda is an energetic community leader, her husband, a gentle soul, takes care of raising ducks and cultivating flowers in "tunnels" at home. Their daughter, Dorota, is a pretty and unemployed young woman. The intrigue begins when the community leader finds out that she is going to become a grandmother. Fear of losing authority, scandal, and embarrassment inspires her to come up with a truly diabolical idea - they need to buy a fiancé for Dorota with a pre-arranged divorce.

Three Kościuszko Division soldiers, each of a different background, volunteer to take up the task of cutting German barbed wire before an offensive.

Kazik and Władzio, two old friends meet again after many years. Kazik, a small-time swindler and playboy confesses that he needs a place to live, so Władzio offers for him to move in his apartment.

A timid bank clerk is pressured by gangsters, his girlfriend and his fellow employees to help steal the bank's supply of dollars.

Marianek is an unlucky man and not successful in his affairs. At the same time, he is a dove-hearted man, sensitive to other people’s misfortunes and harm, willing to help, even at his own expense. He is always ready to solve the problems of others, although he is usually not very good at it. His favorite saying is “absolutely”.

Engineer Bogdan Zawada moves to the construction of a port on the Baltic Sea. The man tries to arrange his personal and professional life in a new environment.

Seventh-grade students are just starting their studies in a newly opened school in a small town in the Recovered Territories, right after the end of the war. The difficult process of assimilation of the settlers who came to Lower Silesia in 1946, the echoes of the war: the subversive actions of Werwolf, the actions of the looters - constitute the background for the adventures taking place in the foreground.
