Childhood friends reunite later in life in Spanish tuberculosis sanitorium. Pressures of death all around combine with dark secrets of their past.

In the harsh post-war years' Catalan countryside, Andreu, a child that belongs to the losing side, finds the corpses of a man and his son in the forest. The authorities want his father to be made responsible of the deaths, but Andreu tries to help his father by finding out who truly killed them. In this search, Andreu develops a moral consciousness against a world of adults fed by lies. In order to survive, he betrays his own roots and ends up finding out the monster that lives within him.

This music-themed drama is set in Barcelona of the mid-'80s. When famed composer Lluis Doria visits a transvestite club, he learns his lifelong friend Albert Rossell is the house pianist. A flashback takes the tale four decades into the past, where the younger Rossell rejoins Teresa after having spent years in prison for helping anti-Franco anarchists. The story continues into Paris of the '30s, the period when Doria and Rossell first met, sharing a mutual interest in music and Teresa, before civil war sent them in different directions.

A group of young twentysomethings face a fall in their lives undergo a major transformation when the time came to take on adult responsibilities. David is 27 and has long been working as a messenger, enough to know it's time to quit.

In June 2013, actress Rosa Novell was diagnosed with cancer. While battling the disease, the treatment affected her optic nerve, leaving her blind. Among her unfinished projects was the Catalan version of Colm Tóibín's play ‘The Testament of Mary’. An approach to this work ultimately became her own testament.

Disinformation, ignorance and the lack of dissemination of the Catalan reality in the rest of Spain make it necessary for civil society to reach an understanding.
