Five Forks

Aurelio and Maruja are a couple who has a fancy restaurant. Both have to take care of his godson Miguel as his father, the cook of the restaurant, flees from justice after having killed his wife because she was unfaithful. Miguel, a handsome young man, tricks Maruja and leaves her pregnant.

Kargus

A series of vignettes is woven into a larger story in this first film to be written and directed by Juan Minon and Miguel A. Trujillo. A writer who works in a bookshop to earn a living meets a wealthy American named Kargus looking for talent to ensconce in his projected art colony in the Gilbert Islands. In order to convince the American to take him on as a good prospect, the writer promotes his own stories -- the vignettes seen in the film. One story is about a young man trying to impress his girlfriend with his new car, a car he indirectly borrowed from a rental agency. His efforts to hide the rental sign on top of the car lead to various comical posturings. Other vignettes are from the era of the Spanish Civil War, including one about two people trying to survive by hunting cats and killing them to sell to butchers. Another vignette shows pro-Franco activists eradicating anti-Franco graffiti in Madrid.

The story of a couple whose relationship is falling apart, with voiceover by two of their friends.

The Voyeur

Despite being unhappy about it, a middle-aged man, allows his wife to carry on affairs in order to keep his marriage together.

La plaça del Diamant

Colometa is an average housewife with two children to care for in the late 1930's, as the Spanish Civil War is starting and her husband goes off to fight. She had been an ordinary woman working in a shop when she met the lively carpenter who married her, and their life together was without major problems. But now she is forced to raise her children under straitened circumstances, and after her husband dies, her life undergoes another major change as she marries for the second time. Underneath Colometa's acquiescent, forebearing exterior must lie just a few discontents, a few unrealized dreams - but they never surface as she blithely moves from one episode in her life to another.

Flower of Holiness

A beautiful teenage shepherdess named Adega sleeps one night with a mysterious pilgrim in a barn of impoverished and superstitious Galicia of the nineteenth century. The overwhelming fanaticism of the villagers motivates them to consider the outsider an envoy of Satan, reason why they deny him the lodging. The pilgrim, on the other hand, will react by cursing the people with plague and misery.

The Clear Motives of Desire

A morbid curiosity leads Andrea and her friends to spy on a couple of young people during their amorous outings. Javi, the boyfriend, feels bothered because that situation, but ignores that Andrea is attracted to him.
