Following a stint in reform school, Ryu (Shinsuke Shimada) returns to his home, the Minami area of Osaka, accompanied by his new friend Ko (Takeshi Masu). He's greeted by his friends, Chabo (Ryusuke Matsumoto) and Ken (Bang-ho Cho). They seek to forge their own path through a multitude of rival gangs in Kita and Minami, including the Hokushin Alliance, backed by the yakuza, the Hope Association, and various other minor factions, including Zainichi Korean groups. What follows is a wild, fast-paced story of violence, revenge, betrayal, and discrimination, that never loses its sense of humor.

Kumi lost her husband two years ago and, due to the debts he left behind, moved in with her late husband's younger brother, Jiro, where she lives a happy life, helping out at the auto repair shop he runs. She wears a kimono when she visits clients, sometimes using her body as a weapon to close deals. Jiro secretly harbors feelings for her, but Kumi has no intention of accepting them. Jiro's daughter, Shiori, realizes her father's feelings and begins to resent Kumi. One day, Kumi goes to a business meeting with a client, K Promotion. However, it turns out to be an apartment-style image health club, and there, to her surprise, she finds Shiori there...

Hitomi runs the adult movie theater Hokutoza, which was left to her by her husband. Her husband has a daughter, Aya, from a previous marriage, but the two have a strained relationship. Aya invites her boyfriend Taku over to her house almost every night, and enjoys sex as if showing off to Hitomi. One day, Jiro, a projectionist, hears from Mika, the owner of a bar, that there are plans to demolish Hokutoza and build an apartment building. A few days later, Hitomi invites Jiro out for a drink and tells him all about it...

Small-time con man Jiro makes his living tricking small businesses out of large sums of money. In the process he acquires a helpmate Kumiko, a refugee from her stepfather's sexual abuse. But things start to get out of control when yakuza boss Kamewada muscles in on the action.
