Ilias dresses himself in a police uniform as part of a complex burglary plot. Unfortunately for him, the impostor officer is called to assist in the investigation of a real crime. The other officers involved in this case treat him as a colleague, and he is forced to play along in hopes that his cover is not blown.

A veteran general, living poorly but honestly with his wife and his daughter, is visited by his future son-in-law who informs him that he is going to immigrate to Australia. On the same day, his cousin Apostolos pays him a visit as well and tells him that the government intending to honor him has decided to construct his statue and place it at the small square in front of his house.

This classic Greek comedy revolves around the constant fights between Zikos who works as a clerk at a small grocer's shop and the shop's owner. Zikos just can't keep his mouth shut every time his boss behaves as being an aristocrat. Things go even worse when Zikos finds out that his boss, by taking advantage of his wealth and with the help of the local match-maker, is planning to marry a young poor girl living in the same neighborhood.

Liza, a rich girl, falls in love with Pavlos and tries to seduce him. However, when she realizes how deeply he loves his fiancée, decides to help him get back together with Kaiti.

He, therefore, decides to step down from the government and bring order to his life, starting from his wife and his daughter.

Thanasis Vengos plays a poor young man that comes to Athens looking for a job. We watch as he tries many different jobs; druggist, photographer, even wrestling referee. The result is always hilarious and explosive!

Cosmas (Kostas Hadjichristos) learns that his mother needs to be immediately subjected to surgery. He asks the help of a relative (Nikos Fermas) to cover the expenses. He finds it difficult to overcome them, as he tries to raise money to marry his eminent heart (Martha Vourtsi). His relative agrees to pay, but asks Kosma to marry the Spanish singer (Martha Karayiannis) of the cabaret she runs, so that she can stay legally in Greece. Marriage becomes a secular event and is publicized, creating in Kosmas many problems and misunderstandings with his fiancé. Ultimately, a series of happy times will cancel the fake marriage, mother's surgery, and leave Kosmas the money to marry and start married life with greater financial comfort.

Sotiris, the president of Ano Latini, goes to Athens to get information about the project of expropriation for the construction of a military airport in the village. Lawyer Savvas Tsiviklis receives a gift from an old girlfriend, Kiki Petachtidou, who has just returned from the Congo. The gift is two small wooden lions which, in order not to find his wife Koula and mad in the bedroom, gives them to a well-known young man. In a while, however, his wife comes and gives him the lions he had previously given to the young man. Savvas goes crazy and begins the quarrels and jealousy that bachelor Menios supposes by constantly exclaiming "What good do I do and not get married!"
