France, 1986. When Hughes, a young man from the French West Indies, discovers the new Freetime ad, it is a shock : France, the country where he was born, to which he owes his life and his identity, considers him a cannibal. This is the start of a radical awareness fueled by anger and frustration.

Mitraillette is 12 years old and lives in Rose City, a housing estate he would not leave for anything. His whole world comprises his family, especially his 16 year-old cousin Isma, who has taken a fancy to Narcisse, the local crime boss. His older brother Djibril is 22, a student at the Sorbonne who dreams of becoming a lawyer. As for Mitraillette, he has his eye on Océane, the most beautiful girl in his school...

Following the death of their mother, their pillar of strength and their anchor, eleven siblings aged 7 to 23 try to stay united in the face of adversity. But for some of them, drug trafficking seems to be the only way to survive. A decision far from being unanimously accepted, and one that severely tests the strength of their family bonds.
