Religiously themed early Soviet propaganda film in Azerbaijan against Islam. Unlike earlier propaganda films in the region, this was actually made by an (nearly) all Azeri cast and crew and directed by an Azeri filmmaker that would go on to be famous amongst his own people, despite his early collusion with the new ruling government. At the center of the film is a greed Molla (holy man in Azeri Islam) who has been cheating one of the local peasants for years out of all types of goods and services, and then delighting over his success in an very un-religious, specifically un-Islamic, way. Once the Revolution takes place and the Bolsheviks arrive, the peasant is empowered and realizes the deception on the part of the Molla and takes him to the newly set up "People's Court," where is finds justice and the Molla is punished.

The plot of the film is taken from the legend of the Azerbaijan Maiden Tower. According to legend shirvanshah fell in love with his daughter and wanted to marry her. Learning of this daughter Shirvanshah jumped from the top of the tower in the Caspian Sea.

The expedition members meet an old man named Murtaz. The old man recognizes Imam-zade as the son of Suleiman-bek, the former ruler of these lands, who killed geologist Karimov, who was conducting research here in 1920. Realizing that he has been exposed, Imam-zade blows up the cave in an attempt to destroy the expedition. But the locals rescue the expedition members. Imam-zade is detained by MGB officers. Uranium is found in the rocks discovered by Jalil at the excavation site...

A historical revolutionary film depicting the struggle of peasants and the Baku proletariat against landowners and Musavatists in 1919.

Set in Baku at the turn of the 20th century, a young successful businessman Asgar wishes to marry. He wants his bride to be the choice of his heart, however, Azerbaijani tradition restricted him from communicating with the lady as a lover before marriage. So Asgar decides to disguise himself as a mere cloth peddler and the young woman Gulchohra falls in love with him.

Azerbaijan in the 1930s. The difficult path to emancipation of Azerbaijani women, oppressed for centuries, who rebelled against the remnants of feudal customs, fanaticism, and fought for the right to be free citizens of their homeland.

Childhood friends Ahmet and Nuri, the sons of poor farmers, grew up together, studied together, and worked together in a factory. Together, they publish the magazine Light, which opposes the colonial policies of foreign capital and military pacts. The Great Patriotic War. The Soviet submarine T-9, passing through the minefields of the North Sea, penetrates the enemy port. Sailors drown enemy transport ships, but soon find out that they are late - enemy troops and weapons are already unloaded and sent to the front. Captain Kostrov finds himself in a situation where a combat mission is almost impossible, but he must fulfill it - for him it is a matter of honor or dishonor.

About a young engineer's struggle for new, scientifically proven methods of working in drilling mines. His main opponent is a drilling foreman who prefers to be guided by his "sixth sense" in his work. In the end, engineer Geydar wins a double victory: he proves the superiority of new drilling methods over traditional ones and wins the heart of the old foreman's daughter. The film is considered banned.
