Holly Parker, the wife of a wealthy diplomat, is compromised by the accidental death of a man who has been romantically pursuing her. He learns that she jumped into the Nile, so he travels with his son outside the country.

Madame X (Greek title: I Agnostos) is a 1954 Greek drama film directed by Orestis Laskos. It is based on the 1908 play by French playwright Alexandre Bisson (1848-1912). Wealthy French lawyer Louis Martinot must travel away on business. He entrusts his friend, Paul Blythe, with a delicate task: to investigate the background of a young woman named Susanne Bergomat. Ahmed likes Fatima, and feelings of love grow between the two, imagining that they are from noble families. A love story develops, and Ahmed asks Fatima to marry him. After the wedding, they have a son named Samir. One day, Fatima goes to visit Suad at her home, but the police raid the place because it is suspicious. Fatima is arrested, and her life is turned upside down.

Fatima gets involved with the crook Abbas who lures her in with wealth before he gets arrested. Fatima meets Dr. Ahmed and he marries her despite her past, and she gives birth to Samir. When Abbas comes out of jail, he looks for Fatima, which turns her life into a nightmare.
