The head of a big engineering firm is a workaholic who neglects his pretty young wife - leading to her joining an "escort" service as a means of sexual relief. All is well, until the escort service is hired to entertain the engineering firm's clients at a swingers' party.

When the Swedes occupy a Danish manor house, Svend Poulsen decides to help the family to safety. Along the way, Ib is taken prisoner. Svend Poulsen and his gang pretend to be a platoon of Swedish soldiers arriving at the castle where Ib is chained to the roof. During dinner that evening, the Swedish commander becomes suspicious, and soon the soldiers are fighting each other. However, Svend manages to free Ib.

A man grows up in very modest circumstances in the early years of the 20th century, but his diligence, intelligence and willingness to endure hardship helps him to become a leading brain surgeon. A success story on the face of it, but a story about a man – who is none other than the director's father – a man of powerful emotions. The film explores the nature and origin of the guilt that repeatedly deprived him of happiness.

About five young people and their complicated love affairs. Isabel, the diplomat's daughter, is training to be an actress, Marca is a ballet dancer, Michael is a theater director, and David has just completed his military service. However, it is Gerd, in particular, whose fate will have an impact on the group. She has fled from East Germany but returns when she feels isolated. Michael and David follow her, but an attempt to bring her back to the West costs her her life.

The main character is a little boy, whose sick grandfather lives in the attic. Every time the grandfather wants something, he hits his stick in the floor, which makes the boy believe his grandfather is a stick. The film deals with misunderstandings between adults and children, since children can perceive things differently than adults.

The children Julian, Dick and Anne spends a summer holiday at the Kirrin Farm, where there cousin Georgina lives with her dog Tim, and her parents. The tomboyish Georgina is punished for her poor school performance, and her father hires a private teacher.

Individually divorced and disillusioned, Jens and Karen meet and are drawn towards each other, but how does one go about courtship in a natural way, let alone a tangible relationship, in a time and age of general wisdom on every bookshelf? Surrounded by marital misfits and ex-partners, Jens and Karen give love a half-chance nonetheless.
