Following the death of a hotelier in Punta del Este, Uruguay, an unexpected inheritance dispute begins. Stallone, an actor with Down syndrome, believes he is the rightful heir to the hotel. On the other side is Magrelo, a young autistic man who was raised as an adopted son by the deceased. Without waiting for the reading of the will, Stallone decides to reunite his old friends with Down syndrome from the institute where they lived in Brazil to spend a week's vacation at the hotel.

A road movie that shows the simple things in life in a poetic light through the eyes of three young people with Down syndrome, who love movies and work at the video library of the institution where they have always lived in. One day, inspired by the movie "Thelma & Louise", they decide to run away using the gardener's old car to have a freedom experience. They travel to uncommon places in search for three simple wishes: Stalone wants to see the sea, Aninha looks for a husband and Marcio needs to fly. During this search, they embark on several adventures as if life was just a children's play

“Leaving for Holiday” is a short film based on the theme of “Changing climates - Changing lives”. Yeşilova Farm has been struggling with drought, disease and soil inefficiency due to global warming in recent years. “Leaving for Holiday” is the story of this family’s being ripped from their roots and abandoning their past.
