A motley of vacationers on a bus headed for a week long vacation at a seaside resort. Among them: a single, moderately famous singer; a nerdy, onanistic man; a couple of old ladies reaching senility; a couple of young gals looking for an amorous adventure; a family with a boy unsure about where he fits sexually; a beautiful woman that, besides working as a trip guide, has pretensions of being a music composer; a couple of gay men; and another family where the parents are stuck in a sexual ice age while their twentyish daughter is looking to connect with a man.

In this movie, TV sets are full of life. If a person is in TV (e.g. because it was filmed on the street) it has a double that's right in the TV set. This double needs energy from the true character to survive. Each time, the real human watches TV, his Double will pull life energy from him. So there's a mysterious Death-serial. Many persons die in front of their TV set and nobody knows why. Olda, the main character, is one of the persons, that get more and more weak. He is near death, till Fisarek, the natural healer appears. He teaches Olda how he can resist this magic force and how he can fight it.

This fairy tale, full of humor and suspense, begins in a small town where preparations are underway for a theatrical performance. The play tells a local legend about enormous riches hidden deep underground. Many long to find them, but those who set out in search of them never return. The play features two sisters, Kačenka and Barborka, as well as Jakub, a musician and Barborka's jealous boyfriend. The theme of the play also attracts the miserly lord of the castle, Bořivoj Hájek z Hájku, who arrives with his brother Ignác, an eccentric inventor and researcher. And somewhere underground, near the real treasure, sit his three ghostly guards, passing the time by inventing all sorts of pastimes, which the Lord of the Underground does not enjoy at all. His patience will run out the moment the bored guards interfere with human destinies, because of a bet on how the love between Jakub and Barbora will turn out.

A mysterious series of suicides fills the people of a small town with anxiety. Shortly before her eighteenth birthday, Kirsten sets out to solve the mystery.

Pérák is an action-packed historical fiction that combines elements of martial arts and stunts with typical verbal humor. But it is also a playful interpretation of the dramatic events of the Protectorate period: the feverish activity of a fictional resistance group – the Czechoslovak League of Exceptionals – is almost swept away by the unexpected strike of the incoming Reich Protector Heydrich, who arrives in Prague to restore order. Will the mythical Czech superhero Pérák save the day, using the springs on his feet to leap over Prague's fences, trams, and houses and harm the fascist occupiers? And does he even exist? Pérák introduces real figures from our history in incredible contexts.

A family of four sets off for a summer vacation by the sea in the camper van. Even though the Adriatic is within reach, the journey might just take longer than expected.
