In 2024, GRAMMY®-winning, progressive music titans Dream Theater celebrated their 40th anniversary as a band, as well as the return of founding member Mike Portnoy, with a mammoth tour starting at London's legendary O2 Arena and continuing across the globe. 'Quarantième: Live à Paris' is a live presentation of that tour, filmed and recorded live in Paris in front of a huge audience at the Adidas Arena. G3 is a concert tour organized by guitarist Joe Satriani featuring him alongside two other guitarists. Since its inception in 1995, G3 has toured most years and has featured many guitarists, including Steve Vai (Satriani's former student), Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Robert Fripp, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Steve Lukather, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg and many other special guests, including Tony MacAlpine, Johnny Hiland, Keith More, Chris Duarte, Andy Timmons, Neal Schon, Gary Hoey, Brian May, Billy Gibbons, Johnny A, George Lynch, Patrick Rondat, Herman Li, Alejandro Silva, and Eric Sardinas. The G3 2007 tour featured Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and Joe Satriani. Shows were held from March 14 to April 14. At the last show of the tour during the song "Glasgow Kiss" Paul Gilbert's band came out wearing kilts and did a small dance. The G3 Jam featured Johnny A. at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA.

Dream Theater is sited by music experts as one of the pioneers of the "Progressive Metal" genre. This American band has won numerous awards for their musical prowess from record industry publications and musical instruction magazines such as Guitar Player and Kerrang, to name but two. Along with their infamy of being some of the most technically proficient instrumentalists in the indusiry, Dream Theater are also renown for their meticulous attention to details such as never repeating the same set list from one concert to another. This allows their army of fans to attend multiple concert dates within the same tour without seeing the band perform the same song twice! There has been some line-up changes recently, most notably the departure of drummer, Mike Portnoy. None the less, the core of original members remains, and plans for the recording of a new album are set for January 2011. Their legions of supporters are halding their collective breath waiting!

A View from the Top of the World is the fifteenth studio album by progressive metal band Dream Theater. This acts as their first album to be recorded at their own studio, DTHQ (Dream Theater Headquarters), and their first since Black Clouds & Silver Linings (2009) to include fewer than nine tracks. Additionally, it is their first album since Dream Theater (2013) to both contain a track of at least ten minutes in length and end with the longest track.

Live at Budokan 2017 was a live TV broadcast that only aired in Japan on September 11, 2017. The broadcast was of Dream Theater's performance at the Nippon Budokan for their Images, Words and Beyond World Tour. The band had previously recorded another album, Live at Budokan, at this venue.

On March 25th, 2014, Dream Theater performed at the Boston Opera House with very special guests from the Berklee College of Music orchestra and choir. Filmed and directed by Pierre and François Lamoureux, and mixed and mastered by Richard Chycki.

A little more than a month after original drummer Mike Portnoy's sudden departure from Dream Theater, the band held three days of auditions in New York City. Live at Luna Park is a live album/video by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released on November 5, 2013 through Eagle Rock Entertainment. The concert film was produced by Over The Edge Productions and directed by Mike Leonard. The album is available on Blu-ray, a two DVD set and Blu-ray plus two DVD combo with three CDs and a Deluxe Edition with a 40-page book. The album will also be available on iTunes. The album was recorded over two nights at Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires. The DVD-Blu-ray will also feature a documentary as well as Behind The Scenes-footage. It is also the first Dream Theater live recording to feature drummer Mike Mangini, following Mike Portnoy's departure in 2010. Dream Theater are rocks supreme virtuosos with many awards to their name and here in concert they bring all the power and drama of their music to life with breathtaking performances of classic tracks from across their career.

When Dream and Day Reunite is an Official Bootleg released by Dream Theater by Mike Portnoy on his YtseJam Records label. The album contains the second set of a show in Los Angeles in 2004 where the band performed the entire album When Dream and Day Unite to celebrate it's 15th anniversary. Also included is the encore, in which the band was joined onstage by former members Charlie Dominici and Derek Sherinian.
