Here & Now

This film was shot in one day. More than 25 filmmakers and surfers worked in unison to document the world of surfing in a single 24-hour period: May 2, 2012. From world champs like Kelly Slater and Stephanie Gilmore to free spirits like Dave Rastovich, Ozzy Wright and Alex Knost, this project brings together shapers, photographers, legends, beginners, third world, first world and surf world. Some scored big. Others couldn’t find a ripple. It’s all part of the surfing experience. From contests to camping, hanging at home or hitting the road, veteran surf filmmaker Taylor Steele pulls together an epic, international cast to prove the best place to be is here and now.

The Free Way

"The Free Way" is a look into the lives of the surfers/people who choose to spend their time surfing, traveling & exploring, playing music. It will attempt to provide a small glimpse of the state of the world today, exploitation, greed, miscommunication, paranoia, confusion... chaos, and then provide the viewer relief in the form of meaninful music, beautiful imagery and one of the most free-flowing, poetic sports of all... surfing. Featuring trips to remote Tasmania, Perfect far northern sumatra, Tahiti, North and South coasts of Oz.

Fishpeople

To some, the ocean is a fearsome place. But to others, it’s a limitless world of fun, freedom and opportunity where life can be lived to the full. A new documentary presented by Patagonia and directed by Keith Malloy, Fishpeople tells the stories of a unique cast of characters who have dedicated their lives to the sea. From surfers and spearfishers to a long-distance swimmer, a former coal miner and a group of at-risk kids, it’s a film about the transformative effects of time spent in the ocean—and how we can leave our limitations behind to find deeper meaning in the saltwater wilderness that lies just beyond the shore.

Momentum Under the Influence is a surf movie distributed by Steelhouse Distribution and produced by Poor Specimen. It features all the best surfers in the world under 23 that surf places like Mentawai Islands, Australia, South Africa, France, Timor Island, Indonesia, Mexico, Hawaii and California. Surfers include CJ Hobgood, Damien Hobgood, Paul Roach Dan Malloy, David Rastovich, Mick Fanning, Taj Burrow, Joel Parkinson, Ben Bourgois, Bruce Irons, Andy Irons, and Dean Morrison.

Under the Sun is a 16mm documentary shot in Byron Bay and the Gold Coast and features incredible surfing from Dave Rastovich, Beau Young, Nat Young and a handful of others as it explores the roots of commercialism that are now so entrenched in surf culture. Be prepared for a dark and compelling narrative amidst beautiful imagery and a kick ass custom soundtrack.

Strickland is a lover of digital effects who's clearly learned some new tricks since his first vid, "Evolv."His editing style gives an original spin to one of the better vids to be released this year.

A word spoken with the heart and not the vocal cords. The heaviest left in the world located at the end of Tahiti's coastline, contemplates a scenario that not only inspires respect, but imposes it. Inside Outside takes you to a place where reputation has been earned. And that's where the Billabong Pro 2008 is, going through the trials, the tow-in session, behind the scenes of the event, to the insane free surf session on impossible spots and benches. Electric Visuals new surf movie by Peter Crumpton, Ozzie Wright and friends Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 November, 2007 : - - Ozzie, Rasta, Ry Craike, Jay Davies, Kalani Robb, Richie Lovett, Mike Morrissey, Luke Stedman, Richie Vaculik, Mike Todd, Gabe Kling and many more deliver outstanding performances. Each surfer featured on the movie was asked to edit their own part and as a result the movie has a number of unique and innovative sections. Featuring music from The Goons Of Doom, ASG, The Meanies, Angus and Julia Stone, CKY, CC Adcock and Hank Williams III. Ozzie Wright wrote songs, produced art and animations for the movie.
