They buy a very nice car (Syrenka), but in order to pay for it the men need to start working as solicitors for a notable art impresario named Koszajtis. The desperate professor tries to find it. He even gets into prison, from which, however, he escapes handcuffed with the thief. Meanwhile, the "snow man" begins to be considered the perpetrator of more and more crimes. Eventually, everything becomes clear. In the telegram notifying of the shipment, a word was twisted and hence the whole misunderstanding.

In the last days of World War 2, people of various ethnic background meet in a Polish military hospital in a small German town, whereas a Nazi SS division hides in the local forests and tries to move westwards.

The authors of the series sought to show, in particular, everyday life under Nazi occupation in Poland.

1957. Excessively high production standards imposed by the authorities result in the plan not being fulfilled, and the workers cannot imagine living normally without rewards and bonuses. A rebellion breaks out. Worker democracy wins – the working class elects a director from among its own ranks. He is an old locksmith with no managerial experience. Although he believes in the socialist spirit and has a communist past, he does not hold the position for long, as he makes promises too easily that he is unable to keep.
