Dear Death: The Movie

This is an adaptation of the 2015 TV show, featuring two intertwining love triangles that drive the plot. The first triangle involves Aragão, his wife Arlinda, and her lover, Chico. The second triangle unites Malvina, Lena, and Gabriel, who is the son of Arlinda and Chico but raised by Aragão.

In a small country town in the south of Brazil, the daughter of a wealthy farmer is brutally raped and left for dead near a river. Miguel arrives in Rio and starts following Carol, an upper-class young girl, while himself is being followed by Luciano. When Miguel starts going out with Carol, his purpose becomes more clear, putting in motion events which relate to the rape.

Reunited for their mother’s funeral, four sisters – Selma, Regina, Laura and Lúcia – find themselves forced to divide much more than an apartment in Copacabana. While dividing the articles, the sisters compare options, destinies, lifestyles, and expectations. The turbulent sale of the apartment represents a turning point in their lives: they know they have never been so deeply involved as accomplices, or as sisters.

When the result of his tomography arrives, Lineu steals the document, afraid of having a tumor, but he believes he will die sooner. Meanwhile, Nenê meets Lineu's old rival Carlinhos, who manages the local market, and invites him to dinner.
