Babar is a young elephant in the great forest. Whilst out with his mother a hunter kills his mother and he flees to escape the same fate. He eventually finds himself in a human city and experiences the many differences between city and forest life. Treated as an outsider he is taken in by an elderly woman, dressed in fancy suits, taught to write and count and is brought up in human culture.

Little Bear and Father Bear go camping in the wilderness where Little Bear encounters all kinds of new sights and sounds: an eagle's flight, a wolf's howl... and a wild little bear named Cub fishing in a stream. Even though they're from different worlds, Little Bear and Cub become fast friends.

Kids for Character was a program that was released on VHS in April 23, 1996. It was a charity special about moral character that featured many different children's characters. Among the Executive Producers are Michael Paraskevas and Betty Paraskevas, creators of Maggie and the Ferocious Beast who also created the book that the show is based on. The show first aired on the Treehouse block before moving to just before Tiny Pop. The series also aired on PBS Kids as part of the PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch from 2000 to 2002. It can now be seen in the US on Qubo. It also aired on Teletoon for a brief time. Some episodes include original songs to help illustrate the theme or accompany montages that carry the story forward.
