A chance encounter between Anna, a sculptor, and Lev, a chemist, may well develop into a deep feeling. But with the speed of a spinning merry-go-round, comic situations replace each other, which both alienate and bring the heroes of the movie closer to each other.

A relations between man and woman become complicate after 20 years of marriage.

In an ordinary Soviet apartment, where an ordinary Soviet family lives, suddenly ... the donkey breaks in. All attempts to expel the animal end in vain. Neither the police, nor the veterinary service, nor even the local hooligan can help. And only the ubiquitous film-goers, who needed an animal for filming a movie, manage to put the donkey out of the apartment.

Slava and Valeria, as both single parents, share similar circumstances and lives in the same neighborhood. They meet and become necessary for each other, but their children struggle with adapting to their new situation and their parents' happiness.

A film about Nastya Filimonova, a young graduate of a river college. Old and experienced captain Yaruga does not believe that Filimonova will be able to cope with her duties. But Nastya managed to prove to everyone that she is capable of being a sailor.
