A group of soldiers, civilians and teenagers take shelter in a local school for protection from the undead hordes outside, but no rescue is coming. Food is running low - morale doubly so, tensions are high and things are looking bad when a stranger arrives outside the gate. Then they get a whole lot worse.

Q, Tony, Danny, and Steve think the police are their biggest problem after they pull off a robbery. But when the dead rise from the grave, they have to hide out with a woman and her grandmother in a fortified windmill.

Haunted by terrible waking nightmares, Joan must face more than just her own fears as she is stalked by a murderous sociopath, haunted by one of his victims, and terrorized by The Beast, a relentless and horrifying spirit of vengeance which never sleeps.
