Three mechanics in a car company are wayward husbands. Their weakness lies in drinking and spending half of their salary on the unnecessary items. Their wives have a tough time running their houses with the meager money provided by their men. Their world is turned upside down by a couple who move in next door.

Viswam Master finds an abandoned dog on a railway platform and adopts it. Initially, his wife disapproves but soon accepts the dog who becomes an important member of his family and is named Tommy.

The film deals with questions like, how women face the society by stepping out of their home as breadwinners and how much moral support do they receive from their husbands.
