Willi Schulze is a car mechanic. Together with Paul, who escaped from an orphanage, he runs a garage. During the testing of a car, Willi finds out the brakes aren't working that good. A fatal accident can just be prevented. He tries to hitchhike home and gets picked up by American election expert Willy Schneider. Together they also get an accident and both lose their memory. The police assumes Schulze is the election expert and rapidly he turns into the pivot in a stone-hard election-contest.

Three former school friends, all grown up in Wedding, the blue collar district of West Berlin, have not seen each other for a decade. They meet in their old teenage hide-out, a storage depot close to the East Berlin Wall in the summer of 1989.

In the not too distant future, in the year 1999: In Germany, payment may only be made by credit card, which leads to many people purchasing things they cannot pay for. A nasty debt collector from the almighty central bank sends out employees to take back unpaid goods from customers by force. A girl who calls herself Egon is also forced to work for this evil person. In the process, she meets nice Mike, with whom she falls in love. Soon Mike and his friend, the aging playboy Löffler, are in a turbulent adventure to free Egon from the clutches of the bank villain.

Self-confident thirty-something Maja loves her stressful job as a doctor in a Berlin hospital. Perhaps she even loves it a little too much, because one night she is unexpectedly left by her boyfriend Frijo, who feels hopelessly neglected by her. Shortly afterwards, Maja's mother, who is as charming as she is dominant, moves in with her.

Willie, a sweet little woodworm, accidentally becomes a stowaway on Noah's Ark and Noah and the animals believe he is drilling holes into the wooden boat. Can Willie really be responsible?

Young lieutenant Riedel, the leader of a motorized unit of NVA riflemen, is always concerned about his men. Thus, he is all the more happy that everything is running smoothly with the new recruits when he returns from his honeymoon. It seems to him that lance corporal Weißenbach, who is not only the oldest of the men but also a formidable armoured personnel carrier driver, has been a reliable stand-in for him. Thus, Riedel is all the more surprised when he learns that Weißenbach boosts the squad's performance with partly questionable methods.

Heinz Borbet, also known as "Beule" because of his dented car, finds a red safe hidden in the dung heap of an allotment garden: the two thieves Bruno and Fred have stored it there for the time being because they couldn't get the safe open. The safe is almost impossible to crack. Heinz is not the only one to feel this in the episode, who is delighted with his supposed, unexpected wealth, but also around a dozen other candidates. Then the police get involved in the form of Inspector Fleischhauer ...

Tomas and his friends are happy in their town and school but must face the fact that some of the adults around are preparing to leave GDR and move to West Germany.

Meier, a paperhanger in East Berlin, inherits from his father in West Berlin. With this money he wants to fulfil himself the dream of his life: a journey around the world. He buys a forged West German passport and pretends to go on a trip to Bulgaria while he really is off to see the free world. When he wants to return to East Berlin he finds himself in an unbelievable predicament and his double life begins. He can't keep away from his East German friends. As with all the best comedies, the action builds up to an eventual crisis. It's a light comedy, which won several national Film Academy Awards. The film is very political, with lots of political jokes/innuendos which only Germans will understand. One is left feeling what a total obscenity that stupid Wall was, dividing one people for 30 years (1-2 Generations) simply by the coincidence on where you just happen to be in the early morning on the 13th August 1961.

An alien from the planet Antoria lands on Earth and is promptly assaulted by the porn producer Gerhard Hornbacher, who steals his "form changer". Hornbacher sees this as a way to make money and founds the spiritual TV channel "Teleportal", where he offers people the opportunity to flee to Antoria to escape the impending destruction of the Earth, for a price of course.

Two shady businessmen set out to shake up the West Berlin funeral industry - with unconventional ideas and questionable methods. To this end, they take over the business of a long-established mortician who wants to retire. One of them also hooks up with the colorless daughter of the chairman of the local mortician's association in order to get money and his father's customer list from her. Meanwhile, his partner has to deal with his wife and their equally nagging children. And then the establishment strikes back. At the same time, the unmarried newcomer to the industry discovers that he does have real feelings for the association chairman's daughter.

The director of an art museum in Thuringia and an art dealer from Constance entered into an extremely lucrative business relationship. Director Trützschler illegally supplies Ms. Münzenberg with valuable works of art, which she smuggles into West Germany through an intermediary, abusing the transit routes. The business flourishes until they both fall into the CIA's intricate web. They are put under pressure and used to recruit a scientist from Jena. Will the GDR security forces succeed in thwarting the CIA's espionage operation...?

Mozglyakov, a young noble playboy, brings great "luck" to the small town of Mordassov: he brings them a prince in the flesh whom he has picked up in the snow. His commentary on this "high-born": the prince is actually just an artificial figure, with horsehair, a glass eye and chalky legs as well as a spring system as a locomotor system. He and other male inhabitants of the small town had no idea that such a fossil would set the local ladies into a fierce battle for prestige, power and money.

Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

Didi's Comedy Show was a 1989 German comedy television show starring Dieter Hallervorden that ran for 10 episodes. Didi is a bumbling detective who is struck by "brilliant" ideas which turn out disastrously; he eventually comes out on top, however. The show is based partly on Didi's comedic antics, many of which would be impossible in real life. For example, he takes part in a hammer throwing competition at a police sports event, forgets to let go of the hammer, and is pulled by centrifugal force into the skies; he is saved by hanging on to an aeroplane.
