The "Fiery Arc" tells of a grandiose battle on the Kursk Bulge in the summer of 1943. Here was the largest tank battle in the history of World War II. Along with the personal fate of the heroes, the film shows battle scenes, the activities of headquarters and intelligence, those who worked at the front and in the rear.

This five part epic war drama gives a dramatized detailed account of Soviet Union's war against Nazi Germany during world war two. Each of the five parts represents a separate major eastern front campaign.

Based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Sholokhov, about the fate of people broken by the First World War, the October Revolution of 1917 and the Civil War in Russia (1917-1922), about the collapse of the foundations and ideals of the Don Cossacks of Russia at the beginning of the XX century, about the personal tragedy of the protagonist — Grigoriy Melekhov.

The daughter of René, King of Provence, who has been blind since birth, is unaware of her misfortune thanks to her father's diligence. She is betrothed to Robert, Duke of Burgundy. Vodemons sees the sleeping Jolanta, falls in love with her, and asks the king for his daughter's hand. Upon learning that Robert loves another, the king agrees to the wedding. The doctor's efforts are successful, the girl regains her sight and, happy, gets married.

Suraya, a young milkmaid from a remote mountain village, is searching for her fiancé Seifetdin in the city. She learns that he has long been married and has a son who lives with his elderly, sick grandfather, as Seifetdin is serving a sentence for hooliganism. Surya takes the boy to the village to care for him, but then Seifetdin's wife shows up...

In a training flight, the Il-28 plane crashes. Shooter-radio operator Sorokin without an order leaves the plane, lands first and writes a denunciation to the pilot Yegorov. Yegorov has to leave military service, his beloved girlfriend Nadya is leaving him. Sixteen years have passed since then. Nadya is married to the slanderer Sorokin and brings up a son with him who doesn't know who his real father is. One day, the whole family ends up on an airplane controlled by Yegorov. Clarification of relations leads to a belated triumph of truth, which affects all heroes: one destroys, the other exalts, in the third instills hope...
