Series
“Velika Srbija” is a humorous and satirical TV series with no territorial pretensions. The title reflects the idea that everything in the show is placed under a magnifying glass—exaggerated, caricatured, and enlarged. As the authors explain: “Because we live in Serbia, we called it Velika Srbija.”
The series satirizes current social and political topics, as well as the virtues, flaws, and characteristics of people and groups from the region. Other themes include male–female relationships, the entertainment scene, and parodies of popular TV shows and series.
Each episode consists of 4–5 sketches, linked by acted intro segments that together form a mini-story. The show was inspired by the BBC’s “Little Britain.”
The creators and writers are Dimitrije Banjac, Nikola Škorić, and Dejan Ćirjaković, who also appear as performers, alongside Vesna Spasojević and Mladen Urdarević.
