The Serbian Girl

The naive 18 year old Dobrila leaves her little Serbian village to travel to Hamburg, Germany, where her boyfriend lives. The trip is not easy. Finally in Hamburg she has to realize her boyfriend is not very interested in a relationship. She doesn't tell him she's pregnant and starts on her way home to Serbia, which turns out to be even more exhausting.

The Bridge

In order to check the German offensive, Partizans send an elite team of explosive experts to blow up a strategically important bridge. Besides being heavily guarded, that bridge is almost indestructible and the only man who knows weak spots in the construction is the architect who built it. He is, however, reluctant to cooperate because he doesn't want to see his masterpiece destroyed.

Boiling

The action takes place in the period from 1930 to 1934. The main protagonist is a so-called “collective hero”, that is, the revolutionary movement of Yugoslavia during the 1930s, although, conditionally speaking, the main hero is Rodoljub Colakovic.

Moment

A young man from the banks of the Ibar River goes to the revolutionary war. It turns out to be one of the key moments that will later leave marks on his life. The war conflict runs along with his intimate, internal conflicts of his own. He feels the need to think as a human being despite the horrors surrounding him. Such is the deeply embedded need of this man - the need for love, understanding and justice.

In 1389, the Serbian prince Lazar Hrebeljanović refused to submit to the Turkish Sultan Murat, who was invading Serbia with a large army, in order to continue conquering Europe through it.

Doctor Mladen

The story begins in 1941 and shows one of the people who which were actually, very brave and proudly fought against the Ustasha, Germans and other butchers, not related to that ideology was tied. The film is about Dr. Mladen Stojanovic legend of Kozara and Krajina, great man, humanist, friend, and finally the commander one of a the proud partisan detachment, which is that area brought for a moment bring much desired freedom.

Six Days in June

Maternal Half-Brothers

This story about two maternal half-brothers, a Croat and a Serb. Although they never met, and both lose their loved ones in ethnic clashes, there is a bond between them. Filmed in 1988, it prophetically forsees the war that would engulf former Yugoslavia three years later.

The Servant

Film is based on a folk tale and tells about how you cannot run away from your destiny. Events take place in unknown place a few centuries ago. Rich landlord cannot have children despite the fact he has a young wife. He hires an unknown drifter who is roaming trough their area with intentions to give him an heir.

Zarki

In Vojvodina during the war, a partisan commander Zarki fell into the hands of the local Germans. They bound him in chains and take him from one village to another, torturing him in public so he could tell the names from his movement. Bewildered by his resisting power, the Germans tend to break him down and destroy the pride which is his answer to their torture. Frenzied of powerlessness, they ultimately choose the most horrifying death - they buried him alive in the sand that will cover the last trait of him, but he died victorious: He died for his thing.

Three Tickets to Hollywood

The story of three boys who, fascinated with seventh art magic, decide to escape from their remote village straight to Hollywood. In the same time, a local policeman frantically organizes a reception for the president of the state. His "strictly controlled" citizens, under the influence of events in Cuba, in 1962. start dividing in two parties, resolved to succeed where Khruschev and J.F.K. have failed.

Rampage at Apache Wells

'The Oilprince' is an unscrupulous businessman. He looks forward to a lucrative deal with the "Western Arizona Bank'. He sells the bank oil wells at Shelly Lake that do actually not exist. The Oilprince learns that the colonists would like to settle at Shelly Lake. So The Oilprince exchanges the scout of the settlers by one of his minions to give them another route. But soon The Oilprince has to recognize that he has not counted on Winnetou, the righteous leader of the Apaches, and his blood brother Old Surehand.

Days of Temptation

In 1918, after the end of the Balkan Wars and the First World War, hundreds of Macedonians immigrated to Bulgaria. Among them there were pro-Bulgarian Macedonians who wanted to exploit the emigrants for their own political purposes. A number of decent freedom fighters were eliminated. The victim of one of the assassins in Sofia was Djorche Petrov. His assassin is a young boy who doesn't even know that he is shooting dead the man who is one of the last real fighters for the freedom of Macedonia. By discovering that he has been unknowingly involved in the pro-Bulgarian organization and has been used for an execution of this vile act, it means the death sentence for the young boy.

The Feast

In a Serbian village on Christmas Day in 1943, the Chetniks accept two downed American pilots and give them hospitality. However, finding out that the Germans are looking for the pilots, the Chetniks change their attitude towards them.

Midwinter Night's Dream

A simple story of an ex-convict who comes home after 10 years, only to find two squatters in the form of a woman and her autistic daughter. Though Lazar initially plans to kick out Jasna and Jovana, he changes his mind after seeing the squalid conditions of the shelter they are to move into. It is an allegory of the Balkan wars. When first released in Serbia, it caused some public outrage because of the sharp criticism of Serbia's role in the war.

Broad Are the Leaves

The action takes place in 1943 and today, and a Partisan school in Srem is in the center of action. A young journalist gets appointed to shoot a film report about the participants in the Liberation War from this area. In Srem village she meets common, simple people. She discovers that a free territory and a Partisan school was there. She also finds out that everybody acted as one. Deply going through all of those events, young reporter grows mature, identifying herself with the revolution participants.

Yellow Devil

When a villain named "Der Schut" terrorizes the constituents of Albanian country, which he rules, heroic Kara Ben Nemsi and his sidekick are the only ones who can stop him.

Shady Business

Residents of a shanty town are faced with its destruction. With the help of the local trickster, Paja "the Bighead" moves with his family to an empty flat in New Belgrade blocks. Everything goes fine until the real owner knocks at the door.

Hot Wind

Vruć vetar is one of the most popular Yugoslav TV miniseries that aired in 1980. The show and movie cut from scenes of the show were popular in neighboring countries-also very popular in Czechoslovakia. Its main theme became very popular and enjoying a bit of a cult status. The story follows Shurda, a man in his 30s, who comes from a small town to Belgrade to get rich. However, as no job is good enough for him, he tries his luck in Germany, but this venture proves to be the same, so he returns to his native Yugoslavia.

Balkan Express 2

TV series made as an extended version of an eponymous feature film. A quintet of small-time crooks that works under disguise of a musical band become the supporters of Partisan resistance movement in WW2. Being forced to escape to another part of the occupied territory, they hide in "Marlene Saloon" forgetting that the bordellos of the kind are an ideal place for espionage during the war. They get more problems than peace and rest and the tragicomedy starts.

Svetozar Markovic

A biopic of an influential Serbian political activist, literary critic and philosopher. Svetozar Markovic developed an activist anthropological philosophy with a definite program of social change, which set foundations for socialist ideals in his homeland.

Love, Village Style

Milorad is a young villager grown enough to marry, but his uncle Gvozden and grandpa Paun want to arrange him a marriage with Radmila, a girl from a wealthy family. He escapes to the big town, refusing to take part in it, but his adventure with a girl named Rozika ends up and he finds himself back in his village again.
