The Kadi of Bagdad has harem troubles in this low budget comedy from Edgar Ulmer.

The troubled story of the Churruca family, a noble lineage of brave seamen, descendants of Cosme Damián Churruca, the Spanish hero of the Battle of Trafalgar; from the Spanish-American War (1898) to the end of the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). (In 1950, a new cut of the film was released with less ideological depth and ten minutes shorter.)

A luxury cast of singers, musicians and dancers enriched this faithful transposition of the comic sketches written by Quintero and Pascual Guillén revolving about unrequited love Mariquilla and Gabriel. This, after injuring Pepe Luis, brother of the young lover, takes refuge in a gypsy camp to escape justice.

The strange disappearance of the dogs of his neighbors leads Juan to investigate the case on his own. It ends up finding out that the author of the robberies is a young woman called Eloísa, the cocky daughter of a scientist who uses dogs to create an antidote against sleep. Juan and Eloísa fall in love, but he will ask her to leave her luxurious mansion to live only with his salary.

On the day that they receive their university diplomas, three young men make a bet: they will marry a rich woman and meet again one year later.

A good-for-nothing young man and his friend are involved in a woman's death. To escape Police and wanting a change he goes to the small country village he used to visit with his family. Yet his past will find him there.
