Turn of the Century

Munthe has become a rich farmer through his own work and has gained some influence in the local community. He is strongly opposed to the immigration of east European farm labour from Galicia who, he claims, makes life difficult for the locals. A new school teacher with socialist leanings arrive and Munthe's daughter fall in love with him. Plot by Mattias Thuresson.

Fröken Julia jubilerar

Julia works as a cashier at a piano factory in Stockholm. She and a couple friend go on a ski vacation to northern Sweden, while her boss at the piano factory notices there a money missing in cash register. He suspects Julia who have to prove her innocence.

In order to get his job back, Norell, goes on a hunt to find it in order to get his job back. Meanwhile, the art dealer has sent his daughter Ulla after him to retrieve the statue. Sören, a poor tailor with many children, dreams of becoming a miller and buys the windmill of the village with money he does not have.

When the mine is closing down in the small community of Vestköping the town bank is also in danger. Sudden news of the return of one of the town's inhabitants who had emigrated to the USA and is said to be very wealthy improves spirits of everyone.

Adolf Armstarke

Adolph Turesson is a mild-mannered, meek college professor whose faint-heart isn't impressing the fair-lady he secretly loves, the golden-haired Britta Larsson. Attending a lecture, he witnesses the attention paid to his lady-love by other faculty members, and falls to sleep. He dreams of the olden days and the knights, and the comely ladies of the court over whom they fought. His dream also gives all the cast the change to play a second role. Upon awakening, he proposes to Britta.

Hotell Kåkbrinken

Laban Lundström is the porter at Hotell Kåkbrinken. The hotel is threatened by wholesaler Sjökvist, who wants to pull down the house and build a new and modern house instead.
