This was the first movie in which Rajkumar played a dual role in full-fledged manner

Dudde Doddappa is a 1966 Indian Kannada-language film, directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu. The film stars B. R. Panthulu, M. V. Rajamma, Ramesh and Narasimharaju. It was remade in Tamil as Namma Veettu Lakshmi (1966) and in Telugu as Lakshmi Nivasam (1968).

A young attractive and unemployed woman Seetha(Devika) taking up stage acting as a career. A wealthy man Kannabiran(K. Balaji) is after her, and uses his henchman(R. S. Manohar) to kidnap her. During the attempt, Rajan (Gemini Ganesan) and his clever dog Honey rescue her and the two fall in love. Rajan is the son of a Zamindar (S. V. Ranga Rao), who has a poor opinion of Seetha. However, after many hurdles, the two marry. The director of Seetha's stage troupe Gopal (R. Muthuraman) too is in love with her. But, she never responds. When Kannabiran is murdered. Gopal is arrested. He has an alibi - on the night of the murder, a young woman stayed with him in his house, but then he does not disclose her identity. The woman turns out to be Seetha and she gives them the evidence. One of the members of the jury is her father-in-law and complications follow with the husband leaving her and wishing to marry again. However, the truth comes out and the family is united in the end.

Mohan is abandoned by his father after his mother's death. Several years later, his life changes when he comes face-to-face with his father, who is now a murderer.

It chronicles the legend of the progressive Telugu poet-saint Vemana from his being a rebellious and hedonistic youth from a landed elite to a renunciate.

Paadha Kaanikkai (English: Offering to the feet) is a 1962 Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Shankar. The film features Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, M. R. Radha and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. The film, produced by G. N. Velumani, had musical score by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy and was released on 28 September 1962.

Sri Krishnadevaraya is a 1970 Indian historical drama film in Kannada language, produced and directed by B. R. Panthulu. It stars Rajkumar as Krishnadevaraya, an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 16th century. R. Nagendra Rao, B. R. Panthulu, Narasimharaju and N. Bharathi appear in pivotal roles.

Bandha Pasam is a 1962 Indian Tamil language film directed by A. Bhimsingh and produced by Periyanna. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri and Devika in lead roles. The film had musical score by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy. This movie was dubbed in Telugu as Aadharsha Saadharalu.

Jaga Mechhida Maga is a 1972 Indian Kannada-language swashbuckler film directed by Hunsur Krishnamurthy and produced & written by S. Bhavanarayan. It starred Rajkumar and Bharathi. Satyam scored and composed the music to the lyrics written by Hunsur Krishnamurthy

The film stars Rajkumar, Jayamala, R. Sampath, Balakrishna and Vajramuni. Rajkumar plays 3 different roles in the film- A police inspector Vijay, a hippie vagabond Shekhar, Servant Sheshagiri and the main protagonist Sridhar. The movie was the debut movie of Tamil director C. V. Rajendran in Kannada. The film is divided into 3 stories – Thrimurthy, Undoo Hoda Kondoo Hoda and Aalaagaballava Arasaagaballa. The movie was Parvathamma's first production venture under Poornima Enterprises banner. It was also her maiden distribution venture.

The movie is based on the play Saahukaara written by B. P. Dhuttharagi. The film was a musical blockbuster with all the tracks composed by G. K. Venkatesh considered evergreen hits. Rajkumar became popular as a playback singer with the track Yaare Koogadali from the film which became an instant hit among the audiences. He would then go on to sing regularly for his films. The film was remade in Telugu in 1975 as Thota Ramudu starring Chalam, in Tamil in 1975 as Pudhu Vellam starring Sivakumar and in Malayalam in 1976 as Themmadi Velappan starring Prem Nazir.
