Raised in New Jersey, he moved to California in 1970 and later attended UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, graduating in 1984. He began his career in television with a writing credit on It’s Garry Shandling’s Show in 1986, followed by nearly a decade writing and producing on sitcoms including Married… with Child…
