A story that recalls the great era of Argentine cinema of the 40s and 50s and the famous San Miguel Studios, where great figures of national and foreign cinema worked. The sad episode of the demolition of studios is passing in front of the memory of a film director, who with great nostalgia relives moments that are impossible to forget.

The film recreates the arrival of a group of Jewish immigrants fleeing persecution in Czarist Russia, establishing the first Hebrew colonies in the province of Entre Rios, Argentina.

A legend of curses and death in an austere and dry desert where rain will not fall. The story focuses on the experiences and misery of an indigenous man who meets his death in the middle of the film. City of Rosario. After three decades in prison together in the same cell, Tito and Castor are released. Outside the youth's friends await, as well as mines, tango, nights of drunkenness and a suitcase full of money hidden in the Parana River. Argentina's turbulent political history is an uncredited but clearly present protagonist in this rather slow-paced story about Ramon (Oscar Martinez) and his search for his brother Pedro in the capital city of Buenos Aires. Pedro has disappeared at a time of upheaval, after a military junta takes over Argentina in 1976, killing thousands of leftists and dissidents. Unlike many others, Ramon's father has political ties that matter, but that may not change Pedro's fate, which could be death -- or like some who have been tortured, worse than death. This film was nominated for a Golden Bear award at the 1985 Berlin Film Festival.
