Tyrannical and wealthy Veer Pratap Singh, rules over a small town - ruthlessly. Whoever opposes him is crushed. He is attracted to women, and has a lengthy affair with Soundariya, and even has a secret marriage ceremony with her. When Soundariya gets pregnant, he asks her to abort the child. When she refuses, he shuns her, and denies ever having married her or even being intimate with her. Her brothers attempt to get justice, but are dealt with ruthlessly by Pratap Singh's bodyguard, Bhima. Soundariya then must garner support of herself, and must find someone who can stand up to Veer Pratap Singh and end his tyranny, in a town with men who have been subdued for eons by Veer Pratap Singh and his men for eons.

A devout priest must face-off against his atheist/trouble-maker brother. The film is about an honest person who finds happiness in spiritual life and goes up against his atheist brother who rejects religion. Mithun Chakraborty plays a double role as both brothers.

Chandra Mohan is the son of a rich mother (Shanta Kumari) and fun-loving father. His mother asks him to marry, but his father advises him to run away from home and enjoy life. His mother announces rewards for those who find him. He tries to escape all these people. A criminal gang which has an eye on his properties sends one of their female members (Vijaya Nirmala) to attract him. But she falls in love with him. The remaining story is about how they both escape the criminal gang and unite.

In time, the owner's daughter Jayaprada (absolutely bewitching), a devout Hindu, falls in love with Krishna. Padmanabham plays Krishna's brahmin friend who works at the coffee shop.
