Semester and Quarter are two best friends with no money. Like most young they hope for quick and easy money which would change their life. When she sets off to countryside for work and doesn't call back, he becomes suspicious and decides to solve this sudden departure on his own. The movie was nominated for a Student Academy Award in 1991.

The series follows the incidents and accidents of the wealthy Belgrade family Lazarevic. No one got over the death of the mother, who was the pillar of the family. Basically, he is an insecure person and is ashamed of his peasant roots.

Series is based on the authentic 19th century story, following the destiny of Jagodic brothers, who own a rich and spacious property in Banat (Northeast Serbia). Their premature death stops every opportunity to continue their family lineage.
