Shipwreck survivors found on the presumably uninhabited Infant Island leads to a scientific expedition that discovers a surviving native population along with the Shobijin, tiny twin fairy priestesses of the island's mythical deity called Mothra. In the Toei, the roles are twenty faces and Kogo (Twenty Faces) and Akechi Kogo, with a content that seems to be strongly conscious of the "boys' Detectives" series of Edogawa Rampo, which was later made into a movie.

O-Shizu, who always sends Heiji off after a "kiribi" (good-luck purification), is the one supporting Heiji and his heart... it is for O-Shizu's sake that he's tried to hold back on his "coin tossing" and be thrifty.
