Tapi Chanakya

Identical twins Vani and Rani are separated at birth. One is tortured by her abusive aunt while the other grows up as a street performer. However, their lives change forever when they swap places. A remake of 1972 Hindi film Seeta Aur Geeta.

Venu enlightens the villagers against Sagarayya, a greedy landlord who grabs barren lands of the village, and reports to the Collector. Sagarayya creates a rift between Venu and his father which affects his sister's marriage. Venu starts living separately with his wife Radha. Abused by an oppressive brother-in-law Gajendra (Pran), Ramchandra (Dilip Kumar) runs away from home, and ends up in a small village where he is mistaken for Shyamrao (also Dilip Kumar), and must accept Ganga (Leela Mishra) and his new name or face severe exorcism. Meanwhile, Shyamrao is mistaken for Ramchandra by Anjana (Waheeda Rehman) and her dad (Nazir Hussain). When Gajendra finds out, he is enraged and attempts to beat the stuffing out of the person he thinks is his brother-in-law, but Shyamrao refuses to be abused or beaten, and all of a sudden things start changing in the household as well as in the community. It is not long before Gajendra finds out about the truth, and plans an ugly death for Shyamrao, and all those opposed to him.

Pattabhi Ramayya, who does not have any children, dotes on his younger brother and his two sons. However, trouble starts in their happy joint family with the entry of Rangoon Raja, a relative of Pattbhi Ramayya's wife.

Shekhar lives a wealthy lifestyle with in widowed mother, Gauri, in Jamuna Nagar, India and manages an estate. Then Shekhar meets with Meena and both fall in love with each. Their marriage cannot take place as Meena's father, Gokuldas, had killed Shekhar's dad. But when Mohan kills Gokuldas, the past is forgiven and the couple are allowed to get married.

Ramu is an innocent son of a rich landlord who is afraid of his brother-in-law Narendran and his whiplash. To escape from his punishments, Ramu leaves his house and his look-alike replaces him. Enga Veettu Pillai is a remake of NTR’s Ramudu Bheemudu 1963 Telugu movie. Both are directed by same director Tapi Chanakya
