When his friend suddenly commits suicide, reporter Paul senses something strange about it. When he starts investigating, a series of sinister events leads him to a deadly Satanic cult.

This meditative French-Canadian film tells the story of a young woman's search for the father she has never known. Marie Chapdelaine (Carole Laure) grew up in a remote area of Quebec without ever knowing her father, a lumberjack. She moves to Montreal, settles in there with a job as a topless dancer and begins her search for him. Eventually, with the help of his former mistress, they find the lumber camp he was working in, only to discover that he was killed in a labor dispute.

Two monks come to a small village to lead a simple life but their first act of charity is to try and seduce one of the village women.

Four couples. They form a circle, are of different nationalities and live in the big metropolises of the world. They are beautiful--a famous painter, a fashion model, a song star. When their profession forces them to move to a city where one of the couples of the circle lives, they share not only their apartment, but also one or the other spouse, as the case may be. Every year, it's a ritual, they all meet for a two-to-three week holiday with one of the couples. This year, they meet in Quebec, in a villa in the Laurentians, near a lake, far from civilization.

In the countryside of Quebec, a new phenomenon has appeared: violence. How does a handsome, tall, free and peaceful village boy let himself be led down the path of crime?

A martian comes to a small town in Quebec and becomes friends with the town children. He gives them candy to get the children into his spacecraft. This alarms the parents but he wins them over and they have a great big Christmas party.

Bernadette has a yen to chuck it all and go back to nature, in this French-language Canadian film. That's just what she does after carefully leaving her wedding ring where her affluent husband, a lawyer, can see it. She has bought a farm, complete with a run-down farmhouse and a live-in cranky old man. Soon, because of the wonderful effects that her sympathy and her outsider's perspective have, her neighbors perceive great improvements in their lives. They attribute these changes to something miraculous (perhaps taking a cue from her name), and hordes of needy people descend on her farm.

A convict on the run returns to his native village to see his daughter again, who believes him to be dead. The priest intervenes to avoid a scandal that would reflect on the young girl on the eve of getting married.

After receiving a large inheritance, a young man movies from his family's ancestral grounds to the city and work in a printing house. Shortly after, he discovers that he is not the sole inheritor. The other, a drug addict going by the name of Mister Jean, will try by all means to grab the entire inheritance.

A widow must cope with her late husband's associates, crooked Japanese businessmen who want her shares of a rich Northern Quebec land and a Jewish con man who wants to get a hand of her mysterious synthetic fur coat.
