Back in his native Suriname to see his dying mother, an Afro-Surinamese student from the Netherlands’ former colony finds himself torn between his Amsterdam-based life with his white Dutch girlfriend and a future in his newly independent homeland when he falls for a local Hindostani nurse.

A rich Frisian farmer has been murdered in Amsterdam and police duo Grijpstra & De Gier are sent to investigate. Adjutant Grijpstra has problems at home again and is happy to leave for Friesland to investigate the murder. Sgt. De Gier finds the Frisian Hylke much more interesting than the murder case. In Leeuwarden there is a real Chinese war and a brutal robbery at the cattle market. Suddenly there is that friendly rattling, asthmatic rat who provides an unexpected solution.

Blue Movie

25-year-old Michael has been released from prison after a five-year sentence. He moves into a big apartment block, filled with young women who gladly have sex with him.

Confessions of Loving Couples

Author Frank's debut novel is successful, but he needs the proceeds to pay off a debt and his girlfriend Mascha ends their relationship. He meets another woman, but he and Mascha also seem to make amends. These amorous vicissitudes give him inspiration for a new book, which will deal with eroticism in the Netherlands.

Fatal Error

Detectives Grijpstra and De Gier are sent to investigate the case of a man who apparently hanged himself in a center for oriental meditation. It is ruled as suicide and the case seems to be closed, but the same night there is an attempted break in. The investigation hits a dead end and everyone involved is a suspect. Based on the book "The Corpse in the Haarlemmer Houttuinen” by Jan-Willem van de Wetering.

Cornelis is the patriarch of the Van Doorn family: a decadent bunch of loose morals who only lust for money and power. With rather vague arguments, they try to persuade other students to go on strike. When this seems to work, the teachers set up the 'Association of Concerned Teachers'. This association will try to sabotage the bus in every possible way. The result is a boomerang effect...

Joszef Katús's Not Too Fortunate Return to the Land of Rembrandt

The dutchified Hungarian Joszef Katús returns, after a months-long absence, to Amsterdam on 29 April 1966. The arrival of the Provos changed a great deal in the Dutch capital. The film follows Katús, mostly roaming the streets, in a loose documentary style. The events are set against the backdrop of four national occasions - The Queen's Birthday, Labour Day, Liberation Day and Remembrance Day.
