S. V. Ranga Rao

Venu is a very poor student and seeks to come out of the hostel by being unable to bear its expenses. Thus, he shifts to a lawyer Anand Rao's summer-house, who gives it to him free of cost. Venu has a brother who is a blacksmith and funds Venu's studies and his daughter's needs in their village. Anand Rao's wife doesn't agree to give their summer house to a bachelor, so Anand Rao insists that he is married.

Chandrasekaran, an industrialist, is very successful in his business and has a loving family. His three sons and two daughters live happily as one family. He brings up an orphan, Rangan (Sivaji Ganesan), who is utterly devoted to the family. Calamity strikes the family in the form of loss in business. The last daughter's marriage gets cancelled. The brothers and their wives ill-treat their parents and Rangan and his wife. Seeing this Chandrasekaran has no choice to ask Rangan and his wife leave their house. Aftermath Chandrasekaran dies a broken-hearted man leaving his wife and youngest daughter to be in their children's merciless hospitality. Rangan, with his simplicity and pure-hardheartedness, takes it upon himself to look after the mother and sister. In the end, he proves that love and affection is the greatest wealth.

Landlord Narayan Rao's son Devdasu and Parvathi, their poor neighbour's daughter, fall in love. But Devadas's family does not approve of the relationship.

The story revolves around Selvam, an easygoing youngster who befriends many girls without the intention of marrying any of them.

Savithri, who does not have any kids with her husband, decides to adopt her sister's child. Things take a turn when her sister meets her child after many years and yearns for him.

Raghu befriends Ravi, a homeless man, and provides him with shelter and a job. However, when Ravi sees the photograph of the girl Raghu decides to marry, he asks him to stay away from her.

Gopal dearly loves his brother Raju, despite the latter's unkind acts and frauds. But fate seems to have something else in store for Gopal as he is soon accused of killing Raju
