1980s Punjab. Naseeb and Guddi are cousins whose relationship changes when a rich boy falls in love with Guddi and asks for Naseeb's help to marry Guddi. However, when Naseeb refuses, the boy takes help from his aunt and fix his marriage with Guddi. When Naseeb's mother-in-law finds out, she throws Naseeb out of the house that leads to Guddi's relationship with Naseeb and his marriage.

When Manjinder Singh takes his newly wedded wife Guddi to his maternal home, he is heartbroken to realize that things are not what they used to be 16 years back. Once a close-knit family of his four maternal uncles now have walls not only between their houses but within their hearts as well. Manjinder and Guddi vow to reunite the estranged brothers and their families.
